Flickr: Creative Commons: A non-profit site through Flickr that allows artists to designate which rights they reserve

Google Blog Search: A search engine that scans items published on blogs

Google News: A valuable resource for current events, this website collects news from various sources. This site can be personalized by the user.

iLife Tutorials: Apple's website that features excellent video tutorials for GarageBand, iMovie, iPhoto, etc.

InfoTrac: A great place to find resources! You'll need a password to login.

Ogallala Public Schools Homepage

OWL @ Purdue: Online Writing Lab sponsored by Purdue University. Offers access to loads of academic resources including journals and articles. This site also has MLA and APA style guides as well as other helpful writing tips.

National Public Radio: The official website of NPR, a great source for current events, podcasts, interviews, etc.

National Writing Project: Website for the NWP, where many of my teaching ideas come from. This is a great professional development resource for teachers of writing.

Nebraska Access:  Free online access to thousands of full-text magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, biographical and business information, genealogical resources, government publications, Nebraska historical documents, and more. 

Nebraska Writing Project: A local version of the National Writing Project housed at UNL. The NeWP offers EXCELLENT professional development opportunities for K-16 teachers of writing.

Sakai: Our online classroom where you can complete assignments, take quizzes, see reminders for assignments, communicate with other students, etc!

Stock.xchng: Free photographs for use in projects. 

Wordle.net: A website where text clouds can be created to use as planning tools for writing essays or can be used for fun!

Youth Voices: A social networking site for students with blogs and response guides.

YouTube: An online archive of user-created videos.
